In the most optimistic transfer rumour of the summer, it seems as if perennial flop Xisco could be set for an Italian holiday, with Lazio ready to take him off our hands.
In what must be a cruel wind-up, the paper, Corriere dello Sport, says Lazio are considering a move for Xisco and would be prepared to pay the £5.7m Deportivo La Coruna gleefully banked on deadline day last summer.
Xisco was included in Spain's squad for this summer's U21 European Championships, offering little in his sole starting appearance and fleeting subs outings.
