'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Novak clears Clowniccini

In the wake of the MMA battle with Huddersfield last night at the Galpharm, former Gatesheed striker Lee Novak has given his blessing to the rough and tumble tussle he enjoyed with our Argie defender Fabriccio Coloccini. The local lad, speaking following a punch from the 10m man, said:

'It was a feisty game. What happened was just part and parcel of football. You are always going to get knocks and stuff like that. There were handshakes at the end of the game still as normal.

I didn't see Fabricio Coloccini at the end of the game, but if I saw him, I would shake his hand, I have no problem with that. I wouldn't hold a grudge against anybody over that.'
