'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Taylor plays down favourites tag

With most bookies having ensconced us at the top of the pile for the title this season, Steven Taylor has asked for a modicum of calm to be delivered to our disjointed club as he believes we shouldn't be up there with the way the club is now. Speaking to the Ronnie, Tayls said:

'People always say that, and I'm sick of all that - being favourites because you have been relegated and you're expected to get straight back up. We can't put pressure on ourselves. We'll take it one game at a time, and that's West Brom. Then we'll take it from there.

We are just thinking about one game at a time. We've got West Brom as our first game, and we have just got to win that game. I don't care how ugly it gets, we need to get the result we need, and that's all we are going to look for.'
