'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Shola's the man' - Part 27

Speaking in the midst of the expected tussle with Huddersfield tonight, Chris Hughton gave his backing to Shola Ameobi with another 'he's the man piece'. If each Newcastle fan got a pound for each time we'd heard that then we'd be able to club together and pay Ashley's £100m plus have a billion ready for transfers. The current coach said:

'Would a striker prefer to play well and not score, or play not so well and score goals? he answer is they would always prefer to score goals.

What we had from Shola (against Darlington) was a good performance, plus good goals. It certainly won't do him any harm.'
