NUFC and BRFC poles apart on Smith
We always knew that it would be unlikely that we could get everyone off the wage bill that we wanted, but former boss Sam Allardarse seems to be taking the proverbial with the news that they will only offer the club half of what Smith's wages are to take him on a season long loan.
The former Leeds and Man Utd man, believed to be on £60k a week, would therefore cost us a staggering £1.5m for the time he wasn't at the club next season.
Somehow I doubt the club would sanction that one, especially with the current transfer embargo.
