'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The players are revolting

As the papers rack up stories about our players preparing a two-week countdown on a Shearer appointment before they throw in transfer requests, it seems Mike Ashley could get his wish to massacre the wage bill. By chucking in the requests surely this negates the bonus payments and requirement to pay up the players' contracts, meaning Ashley pockets straight transfer fees for those who do wish to leave the club.

With the likes of Taylor, Beye, Smith and Butt linked with the coup, what of the likes of Coloccini, Barton, Xisco and Enrique? Will these malingerers down tools in solidarity or will they sit tight on the knowledge that they can pocket an absolute king's ransom by sitting tight?

Nice in sentiment, poor in practice.

I think Newcastle united are in deep ***** at the moment, Ashley is the biggest *****er on the planet, how he succeeded in making money is beyond me.
