Owen to the Mancs? Just typical

Following bookies cutting the odds on Michael Owen joining Man Utd from 20-1 down to Evens, it looks as if many media sources are reporting the nag-fancying mercenary as being in 'preliminary discussions'. If true, it basically sums up the modern footballer.

Owen plodded his way half-arsed through all four years of his contract, about as committed to his job as your average teenage McDonalds worker is to theirs, and now looks set to sign for the biggest club in Britain. Like I say, typical of the way modern football has gone.

It'd certainly be interesting to see how he'd get on in a genuinely successful Premiership side where he'd be guaranteed the service he probably never received at Newcastle. No chance United would offer him anything substantial, probably a pay-as-you-play deal, so it'd be fairly low risk. I understand Newcastle fans feel pretty strongly against him, but his goalscoring record everywhere speaks for itself.

His goals were scored elsewhere without a four year loss of form and two major injuries and a constant stream of minor ones.

I just don't see it happening...I wonder how the scum supporters would take to him?...

No, please no. This is just wrong. Manchester United should never sign Michael Owen. I guess you are not sorry to see the back of him?
Zae
waste of space, man utd can have him, he is a tosser.
