'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Super Seb Signals Intent

After weeks of indecision and everyone saying the right thing, Seb Bassong has pulled no punches in stating his desire to return to the Premier League. Speaking to L'Equipe, the Frenchman followed up the Chronicle's earlier revelations with this:

'I want to leave. I want to develop in the Premier League. I will have to weigh up the pros and cons (of an offer), study the sporting project, the amount of playing time they would want to give me.'

Hardly a real shock, despite the seeming intent of Alan Shearer to keep him. Ashley has really made his indelible mark on the club.
