With the firesale well up and running, what odds on Wenger adding fresh impetus to his defence with the signings of Bassong and Vermeulen.

I was waiting on this one. Bassong is tailor-made for Wenger. Good, young French player to replace Toure (or Gallas). Perfect fit, I think. Unfortunate loss for Newcastle if it happens.

Would serve you well and complement whoever stays out of the two of Toure and Gallas really well.

Along with Sakho from PSG to replace Gallas next year - could form an all-frog back 4 with Sagna, Clichy, and one that might have a good 6-8 yrs together.. ribbit !

Bassong's just come out with his intent to leave. Tapped up for sure.
BaldEagle
he was playing in the lower French Leagues so he shouldn't have a problem with playing in the championship. So yeah defo tapped by someone.........Mr Wenger or Mr tap up himself Redknapp
