With the local consortium meeting set to take place today, Brian McNally of the Sunday Mirror has gambled on Freddie Shepherd being the main act, stating that Fat Fred will be back in situ at SJP by Tuesday. Also mentioned is son and agent Kenny as well as backing from the Middle East.

Surely freddie Shepherd isn't the only option for you guys. You still have a massive fan following and a big name together with the experience of all those years in the Premiership. Surely you could lobbby for someone else? Yes, the priority is to bounce back into the Premiership, but to give your future to Yesterday's Man just looks like desperation.

Shepherd would have bankrupted us had he been in charge when the recession, we were that leveraged on high interest loans.

Mid you if Fat Freddy comes back to a debt free club he may be able to float the club back on the stock market and get some more cash into the club. On the other hand he may also get loads of loans and put us back into the position that we were in the last time he was here.
