Enrique eyes Athletico switch

With the papers having been insistent that defender Jose Enrique will make his way to Athletico Madrid to replace Manuel Pernia, it seems that the idea of a return to his homeland would be appreciated by the Spaniard. Enrique told Sky Sports:

"Who would not want to play at a club like Atletico?. I still have left three years of my contract with Newcastle, but I am thankful and flattered to be linked with Atletico.

If I am honest, I do not have any preference which country I play in next season. I am open to everything. In Spain, I lived well and the food was better, but I have also liked my adventure in England very much."

What's wrong with stottie cakes, ham and pease pudding like?

Too weak for the English game, he's that brittle you'd think his legs were made of china.
