Some daft Bassong rumours & Pancake Face

Today's Ronnie leads with the news that the mackems are interested in signing Seb Bassong from us. As well as the 50% mark up on any other club's price for the lad, Bassong would have to give up potential moves to some far more enticing prospects, Arsenal notably.

The rag also speculates they want to take another alleged target, Per Ciljan Skjelbred, from Rosenberg ahead of us.

This from the same paper that released the news that Steve Bruce 'never really' wanted to manage us. To use the words of his own son - what a 'daft prick'.

Why not? Steve Bruce seems to have abandoned his roots!

Dropping a division could be the best thing as long as it brings the club together and you get focus. But letting players go isn't the place to start. Get them to commit to earning promotion with a fantastic performance next season.

Willow - quite funny how a club that really doesn't care about Newcastle had numpties preparing bed sheet banners about our club. Respect for Villa went right down hill that day.

Yeah another bunch of barcodes Juventus managed that and look at them now! BaldEagle ignore Villa mate, they think they're something special now they have finished 6th twice. When was the last time they won... anything? Spurs supporters have no particular love for Newcastle but I prefer you lot to those midland mugs. No class. They'll do well to finish mid-table this season. They all seem to not realize how it works. When you have a good season and your players are playing well, BIGGER clubs come calling for them as United did to us with Carrick and Berbatov, Liverpool did with Keane etc; that was what cost us progression and the exact same thing is happening to Villa. Ashley Young will be at Spurs or Chelsea by the start of next season (2 bigger clubs) and with Barry already gone, Petrov will leave by January and Laursen retiring, Villa are running out of assetts. Half their first team squad is youth academy which won't cut it in the premier league (judging by top graduates Agbonlahor and Delfounso) Villa for relegation
