'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Missed Opportunity: Al Fahim speaks

We asked the question the other day over why the Arabian consortium involved in the Portsmouth takeover hasn't seen Newcastle as a more viable option. Lo and behold, within 48 hours of writing it, Dr Al Fahim, obviously a fan of the site, quipped:

'I'd have paid £200m for Newcastle because it's a great club. But the guy wanted £400m. He's got to be kidding.'

Another of the many who see Ashley as a joker.

Your loss our gain at Pompey. The quicker you get rid of Ashley the better. No doubt we at Pompey will look forward to next season with some relish & you get look forward to Scunthorpe!

is that your way of trying to wind us up? bad attempt. We needed this to happen so Ashley would sell up and we can move on.

it's intresting though, that foreign owners have come under a lot of stick the last few years, when by and large they have been very supportive of the clubs they own - whilst Mike Ashley - an english owner - has been far far worse than everyone!

Factual only!

But maybe Newcastle will move downwards.... Oopppsss! We will go up, thanks to our Mike's friend.
Pompey Malta
Maybe Newcastle will move downwards but I believe we will be back up in no time, the main thing I want to happen is for Ashley to **** off as he is a waste of space and is ruining a well established club which aslo has an excellent fan base.

He's spent more money than he planned to and wants most of it back. The longer he has this opinion the longer it will take Newcastle to come back but a couple of months is a long time in football, things could go either way.

Never mind a couple of months, we need him gone in days!! Can't see it happening but believe we need to see him gone fast!!

He said "I'd have paid 200m but he wanted 400m and to ***** some of my goats. He's got to be kidding, although the cash wasn't the issue".

There's no sense pining over the sale bargain that got away. the barcodes may now be in a smaller High Street for a season, but you're not past your "sell by date" and returns are accepted as long as you've kept the receipt. You did keep the receipt, didn't you?
Sindbad
Newcastle United will return even without a receipt, im confident! ...would have been alot easier with a receipt but nevermind Newcastle have never done things the easy way!! we'll be back after one season!!
