Pancake Face update: Mail mentions Bruce
Today`s Mail on Sunday speculates firmly that Wor Pancake Face Steve Bruce remains a possible fall back option for the club. Given the £5m compensation package required and the competition from Premier League clubs it has to be severely wishful thinking for a relegated club to run to that. Overall it`s been a day of bizarre stories all round, with many rags pitching in their copy prior to Ashley`s sale announcement and those who have edited it running Apocalypse Newcastle stories in the wake of the Sunday Times` revalations.
