'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Beye pledges future to Newcastle United

Habib Beye has set-aside his own financial ambitions and given Alan Shearer a huge boost by declaring his allegiance to the Toon cause.

Beye said: 'The players who will be here next year must put this club back in the Premier League.

'I'm in - I'm a Newcastle player.

'I'm sad like everyone else.

'I'm under contract, and I will be here next year to put this club back in the Premier League.

'I have played for Newcastle for two years and I love this club.'

The Senegal right-back added: 'Everyone is responsible for this situation. Every player is responsible.

'Everybody must understand it's not just about 11 players or 18 players.

'It's about a city and the fans, and a lot of people who work at this club.

'It's hard to think about.'

The 31-year-old is a firm favourite among the Magpies fans and will be a key player next season, as Newcastle United prepare to come straight back up to the Premiership.

Good to here, but will he take a wage-cut? My guess no he won't and will probably be sent packing.

Beye probably won't have to as he's not on the daftest money like some of the others (Owen, Viduka etc). Proper sentiment from the lad though, he's one of the very few who can't really be blamed due to Cattermole's tackle.
