'If It's Football, It's Vital'

FA urged to probe Webb refereeing

Newcastle United slipped back into the relegation zone after Howard Webb, the FA's 'best referee' had a shambolic day in front of a packed St. James' Park crowd.

In addition to disallowing a Mark Viduka goal which commentators described as 'hugely harsh' and 'unfortunate', the referee also sent-off Sebastien Bassong in a match which pretty much summed up United's dismal season.

Relegation is a more than likely result, but the question remains, should the FA develop a system whereby they can scrutinize and punish referees for their downright negligent decision-making?

Its sad that there are so many 'respect the referees' campaigns in Europe today, but none that apply to the fans, or the players.

One bad decision, and a player is shown a red card and sentenced to a three-match ban, but referees are allowed to get away with anything?

The FA is urged to review this matter, and take into account not just decisions in the game, or the instant referee, but all referees and develop a rule, or a principle whereby wrong decisions, and biased calls are reviewed, and in effect punished.

Swings and roundabouts! Decision went your way on Monday evening didn't it?

No one was sent off last week.

Webb must have been pre-warned about Nolan after last week. He is a total tool though.

Boo Hoo, just popped by to point out how magnificent Hull were today and a fantastic point collected. A point which will keep them in the premier league for another season while you... well fold. Look forward to putting our reserve side and playing you in the third round of the CC thats if you make it that far.

Just seen the decision to rule it out - what a ******** ********* Webb is, nowt wrong with it.

Oh, I was waiting for this. It never changes with Newcastle fans. Always someone elses fault. Never ending whining, complaining and finger-pointing. How nice to be rid of you.

What's with these bald ref's ? First that Norwegian screwed us , now this one screws you !! Time for action replays (play can continue & any change can be announced & enforced immediately after the decision is given, or at the next break in play)!

As harsh as the disallowed goal was i couldnt help thinking what goes around comes around remember the match against boro. Your 1st goal could easlily have been ruled out and the 2nd goal was a yard offside, so as they say these things even themselves out.

You should try Ketamine Baldeagle, it will calm you right down pal.
