Pre Fulham: Big Bass

NUFC`s very own Mr Consistency, Sebastian Bassong has urged the team to focus on the task in hand ahead of the visit of Roy Hodgson`s Fulham, with the defender stating that the London side`s tremendous team spirit is a massive threat. Speaking to the Ronnie, the Frenchman said:

"They don`t have amazing names, but they have a good spirit and shape, so it`s going be a tough game again. We`re used to playing tough games, so we just have to do our job, and we will see what will happen. I was on the bench at Fulham when we lost. It was a hard game, but we are not thinking about that game, only this one.

We just have to think about the win against Middlesbrough. If we play like that, I think we will do it. It has been a good week for us, and we will be ready for the game. It was an important result against Middlesbrough. We`re fighting to stay up, and I think we need another good result at home. After that, we will see what we need at Villa Park.

The atmosphere was unbelievable. The fans were amazing. The helped us very much. I`m sure the fans will give the same energy. We need them, and with them, we will be better. Newcastle gave me a chance, and I`m happy about it. But I`m fighting with my team-mates to make Newcastle stay up, and that is the only thing I`m thinking about."
