Pre Boro: Shearer on last day fixtures

It seems that the gaffer is already starting to get a little tetchy about the fact both Man Utd and Chelski could be playing nothing games come the last game of the season against two of our biggest relegation rivals. Chelski take to the Stadium of Sh*te just a week before the cup final whilst even bigger is the fact Man Utd play Hull at the KC just three days before the huge Champions League final match v Barca in Rome. However Shearer expects both to do their utmost for NUFC saying:

"I am aware of the fixtures on the last day of the season. I was aware of it when the goal went in against Chelsea against Barcelona. You`re looking at everything - results of other teams, who they have to play, everyone is exactly the same. Nobody knows where teams will pick up or drop points. I have looked at every scenario.

So, I`m aware that Manchester United play in Rome on the Wednesday. But Sir Alex Ferguson has enough players in his squad. One of his weakened teams is probably better than anyone else. Yes, Chelsea have the cup final after their final game. But Chelsea have enough to worry about on their plate."
