'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre Boro: Martins

Having been seriously quiet in recent weeks since his notorious groin started to make him behave like a crabs sufferer during matches, Oba Martins has finally come out and granted an interview to the Ronnie. Speaking to the paper, the player has had a few things to say on Alan Shearer`s arrival despite the early crossing of swords before the Stoke game. Martins said:

"Every game I play I look to score. We always felt that the games against Middlesbrough and Fulham would be very, very important to us. And we don`t see any reason why we can`t win both games. That would give us a great chance, and if we can stay up we must work very hard to make sure we are never is such danger like this again.

There is no point in sinking low. We have to fight until the end this season. There is still a great chance for us, we just need to go out and try our hardest to get it. Alan has given us more confidence. He knows this club better than anybody and he is also a legend. We`re very happy that he is our manager and hope he can help us escape the danger we`re in now."
