Transfer Tattle: Darren Bent

Transfer Tattle: Darren Bent

With our Premier League status still not guaranteed for next season it seems seriously daft that we are still getting linked with top flight players. Latest on the list is Darren Bent from Spurs, with ourselves and fellow relegation knackers, both the Mackems and the Beasts, all linked with a £10m move for the hitman.

Whatever happens it could be that we are left with no recognised strikers in time for next season with Owen and Viduka out of contract, Ameobi out of favour and Martins linked with Inter Milan.

The Spurs theory of "we've got the most message board and forum posters in the world, ergo we are the biggest club in the world" seems slightly flawed.
