'If It's Football, It's Vital'

God bless you Tony Pulis!

Today`s set of results was a veritable mixed bag for NUFC. On the one hand the Baggies recent resurgence continued, with Tony Mowbray`s side now on the same 31 points total as ourselves and the Beasts, following their 3-1 win over Wigan. Sunderland also scraped a 0-0 draw out at the Reebok to keep them just ahead of the bottom three melee. Blackburn annihilated Pompey to seal their deal.

Undeniably the best result and a massive boost for ourselves was Stoke`s tremendous 2-1 win at the KC Stadium over the odious Phil Brown`s Hull side. Hull now look even less impressive than ourselves with just one win in 19. Goals from Ricardo Fuller and ex-mackem Liam Lawrence proved to be too much for the Tigers despite Andy Dawson`s late free kick.

Much praise for the Potters who had nothing particularly to play for but turned in a massive performance to do us a favour. We now have to capitalise on this with a win v Boro which would take us out of the bottom three and reignite the dream.

HOWAY THE LADS!
