With much of the weekend and early week dominated by the clash between the Lion of Gosforth and the Huyton Heedtheball, it's good to hear Alan Shearer calling for the odious Scouse gimp to be out fo the frame. With a much more important and newsworthy event in the Boro game coming this weekend, wasting oxygen on a player who will be bounced out of the door quicker than a Bigg Market radgee this summer, seems counter-productive. Shearer said:
