Martin O'Neill remains the clear favourite to succeed Graeme Souness, even more so with reports in the North-East suggesting that Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren will take the England job. O'Neill is still holding onto the hope of the England job and will only talk to clubs if (and when) the posion goes to someone else.
Now, according to William Hill's bookmakers, Roberto Mancini is the clear second favourite to become the next manager of Newcastle United Football Club. Bookmakers have reported a series of bets for Mancini after Inter Milan's exit from the Champions League this week increased the likelihood of his departure from the San Siro before the end of the season.
