And in comes Davros Dowie

Iain Dowie has become the first named coaching addition to the current set up as Chris Hughton and Colin Calderwood continue in their current roles. Dowie, a former Oldham, Crystal Palace, Charlton and Coventry boss, has been out of work since being sacked by Queens Park Rangers in October last year. Welcome Iain and lets hope you have better luck keeping us up than Palace!

I use to actually respect Newcastle, but this club really is pathetic. Ashley has only hired Shearer as he knows he is the only bloke he can hire and regardless of outcome, you fans wont want to ring his neck for! Shearer's first job and he has to do what even the most experienced of managers would have trouble achieving. If Spurs were in your situation, I sure as hell wouldnt want a former player with absolutely no managerial experience in charge. You lot really are stupid, LMAO!

Mind you atleast both of our teams will be pudhing for top six finishes next season, pity that finishing in the top six in the championship only gets you into the play-offs. Oh well, Europe for us again then! :P

well i do agree with you about the fact that ashely has screwed everything up. Thats obvious, but even if we do get relegated, we will just be back up the next year and beating spurs again. when was the last time you beat us in a league match?

plus how much have you put into transfers/bringing in harry? if you had spent as little as we have you would be in the same spot. Ramos spent 70m on bringing in new players and the only way your club could get three points in england was by getting speeding tickets
