'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Post Hull: SMB

Wearing potentially the most rank looking, dandruff effect, seedy Sanchez overcoat to deliver his post match interview, everyone`s favourite mackem Phil Brown continued his needling towards Newcastle. Alleged to have been beaten like a red haired stepchild by Newcastle fans in his youth*, the mackem again chipped in with:

'I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle were relegated - I wouldn't be surprised if any team went. People say one's gone already, but that's a load of rubbish. I think it'll go to the wire for nine, possibly 10 teams. Everyone's still in it and fighting for their lives.

With the amount of money Newcastle have spent compared to us, I'm satisfied to have won two and drawn two against them. If you're asking whether I'm happier than Newcastle at the moment, then of course I am.'

*From well known mackem former fanzine editor, Louise Taylor`s article on the man:

"A son of South Shields, Brown is a Sunderland fan even boasting the street cred garnered by being beaten up at St James' Park while cheering the team on against Newcastle."
