'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre Hull: Harps

With just hours left before the team turn out at the KC, Steve Harper has tried to explain away our current form and put a silver lining on the fact we`re still not in the relegation zone...yet. The stand in captain was beaten twice by Man Utd as we crumbled from our one-nil lead after 9 minutes. Speaking ahead of the game, Harps said:

"I wish I knew - I'd put my name into the ring to be the manager if I knew that! The lads were desperately disappointed at Bolton. It was a game we were looking to win. It was a very disappointing performance there, and a much better performance against Manchester United. But, unfortunately, we came away with nothing.

The results around us have nothing to do with us. We`ve got to look after ourselves. You're going to get weekends where they all win or all don't win. We can't affect everybody else. There are 10 cup finals between now and the end of the season."
