It is with great pride that we at Vital Newcastle can reveal to all our loyal readers that one of our writers has been nominated for the Football Fanzine Awards 2009 in the category 'Best Writer'.

Mehzeb Chowdhury, is one of ten shortlisted candidates who are up for this year's prestigious prize, we are sure Newcastle United fans are rooting for him every step of the way.

Vital Newcastle is the only Newcastle United-based site that has been nominated from any category this year, and we look forward to 30th March 2009 for the much anticipated announcement of the winners.
