Andy Carroll slams Toon misfit Shola Ameobi
Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll was involved in a training ground bust-up ahead of Manchester United's visit to St. James' Park, it is understood.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the two had an altercation during training, and Ameobi may have been benched due to the incident. Carroll came on as a late substitute for the Magpies, but was largely ineffective.
This is the second-time Carroll got himself into a physical tussle with a teammate. In January, he was also involved in a vicious training ground encounter with now-Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia.
