Joao Moutinho reveals English desire
Sporting Lisbon playmaker Joao Moutinho has stated that if he were to move, he would like to move to England as he considers the Barclays Premier League as the ideal set-up to further his career.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror, Moutinho said, 'I'm happy at Sporting but I also want to progress as a player and believe I can succeed in England."
Everton have shown an interest in the player, with David Moyes conceding defeat in a very public pursuit of the midfielder's signature last summer. Newcastle United is the other club linked with the player over the summer, and in the January transfer window, although, it is thought that United would much rather prefer Moutinho's compatriot Miguel Veloso.
