Speaking ahead of the big game with Everton this weekend, Fabriccio Coloccini has highlighted the advantages of not being in either Europe or the FA Cup. With Spurs and Villa really starting to crack under the pressure of juggling too many games in too short a space of time, the fortnight off has given us a breather and time to rest weary joints. Fab said:
"I felt a little bit of pain against West Brom. But it was OK and I wanted to play. That was because I knew I would have two weeks before the next game and I had to just get through. It meant I could recover.
When a team comes to your home you can attack them more. We did very well in the first half at West Brom. But in the second half it was more difficult because West Brom came back and there was only a goal in it. It was difficult, but that is normal away from home.
We battled hard at West Brom. It was an important game for us. We had to do well against them because they are down there with us. Now, though, we must see what we can do against teams at the other end."
