Mr Fixer sues Mr Martins
With Chris Nathaniel having been a major player in the hilariously much maligned Nigerian consortium bid (Ed - whatever happened to that?), the alleged super agent has crossed paths with an NUFC connection again, this time in suing Oba Martins.
Martins allegedly 'entered into a written agreement' with NVA Management on July 17 2007, in which he agreed to pay £299,167 after signing the paperwork.
Nathaniel claims he negotiated image rights with the club and that he is owed £13,054 in commission from brokering deals with Pepsi and Peak Milk, and a further 10,000 Euros (£8740) from securing a Nike deal. Martins has paid NVA Management £92,533 in two separate bank transfers, but a balance of £283,640.91 remains unpaid.
One of Oba`s unnamed pals told the Sunday Sun: 'Oba was not best pleased when he was asked for so much money so soon after his mum died. But he still didn`t think there was any bad feeling when he and Nathaniel went their separate ways, so this writ is upsetting for him.'
