Ryan Taylor on squad quality

Speaking so soon after beginning training with his new club, our swap signing from Wigan, Mr Ryan Taylor, has admitted it`s been fantastic mixing with some superstars. He has also pledged the club won`t be relegated, saying:

"I have only trained twice and you see the quality here and it is frightening, really. But then you look at the league table and the league table doesn't lie. The club has been a bit unlucky with big players missing throughout the season. But we need to get a couple of wins under our belt.

You don't see Newcastle as a team that could be relegated, but everyone is in it. There are 10 teams in it but with the quality we have got at this club, we shouldn't really be in the position we are.

We are going to West Brom on Saturday and there are a couple of players back from injury, and then there's the likes of me, Kevin (Nolan) and Peter Lovenkrands, and hopefully that will give the lads a little boost.

Sometimes it's what you need, to freshen up the squad a little bit, and hopefully we can come away with a win on Saturday.'
