Newcastle set to seal Johnson transfer

Newcastle United are set to seal a sensational move for highly-rated England U21 starlet Michael Johnson, reports Sky Sports News.

United were interested in the midfielder for much of the transfer window, but have now launched a significant bid, with City understood to be willing to sell the player.

City fans will be absolutely gutted to see MJ go, on the grounds that he has bags of potential. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unsavoury rumours about the player's attitude and off-field activities. Magpies could have a future world-class player or a sick-note with a bad attitude. Good luck with him if he signs!

I dont think they will deal, but according to SSN, he is not coming

this wont happen. The article suggests that he's got a pen in his hand ready to sign... he's still in manchester !

Excellent young player, lots of clubs have been looking at him.

Thankfully this was all speculation, and City have now turned down an £8m pound bid for Johnson. Bad luck Geordies, but Nolan is a similar sort of player who will do a good job for you. Perhaps not as good as Johnson. but at least he's fit and experienced.
