United launch £10 million bid Miguel Veloso

According to reports coming out of Portugal, Newcastle United have launched an ambitious bid to sign Sporting Lisbon's midfield sensation Miguel Veloso for a fee of £10 million.

The Journal confirms by stating that negotiations between the two clubs are on the way, with United owner Mike Ashley personally taking an interest in the matter.
