Newcastle United set to sign Kevin Nolan

Newcastle United are on the verge of capturing Bolton skipper Kevin Nolan in a £3 million deal. The former-Liverpool trainee is expected to sign for the Magpies tomorrow morning when he will undergo a medical, and agree personal terms.

Nolan's exit opens the door for Wanderers boss Gary Megson to sign Miguel Veloso from Sporting Lisbon, although, the Magpies are also keen on the Portuguese midfielder.

Nolan will become the second player to sign for the Magpies following Peter Lovenkrands' signing on a free-transfer last week.
