Given 'agrees City move` - James eyed?

The Sunday Express this morning states that Shay Given has moved even closer to a move to Man City, with the fee and personal terms just about inked. Whilst this is no surprise, the fact that David James is stated as a potential replacement is just truly bizarre. Even funnier is the £3m fee being mooted.

With Harper in reserve and two fantastic youngsters in Krul and Forster coming through going anywhere near David James would be a retrograde step to say the least.

Another daft story in the press. It takes a hell of alot to up root family life from one end of the country for another.

D James is a pretty good keeper, but he's not going to have many years left in the tank. Can't understand why Kinnear won't give Harper a new contract, why waste megabucks on a new keeper when you've go a decent replacement already? Sorry to be nicking Shay off you (if reports are true), at least he won't be playing against you on Wednesday!

Think Harper is already away at the season. Whether or not we stay up I reckon we should give Krul or Forster a go next year, or both.
