Toon keen on Bolton's Danny Shittu

Toon keen on Bolton's Danny Shittu

According to The Sun Bolton Wanderers' 6'3' centre-back Danny Shittu is said to be attracting the interest of several Premiership clubs including Newcastle United.

The 28-year-old Nigerian started his career at Charlton Athletic, and played for QPR, and Watford in recent years. He moved to Bolton five months ago, but has only made 5 appearances for The Trotters so far.

It is understood that he is unsettled at the Reebok, and a move is on the cards as Bolton try to recoup the £2.5 million they paid Watford in the summer.

Newcastle United are yet to make a bid for Shittu, but may do so if they fail to tie up their main target Adil Rami from French outfit Lille.
