'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coaching Staff: Calderwood denials

Speaking to the Evening Chronicle, Colin Calderwood has gone on record to deny the much mooted rumours of him joining our backroom team. The former Forest boss confirmed he hasn't even been in the UK when these meetings were alleged to have taken place. He said:

"I have been out of the country and just returned. I don`t know anything about this. If I have been appointed as coach of Newcastle United then that is certainly news to me.'

Joe Kinnear had previously admitted: "It`s something I`m monitoring at the moment.Chris and I are doing the best we can but there might be someone else comes in."
