Elliott: 'My Future On The Line'

Robbie Elliott has blasted Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips for diving in the FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge. It conned the referee and the Toon defender was shown the red card, and now the 32-year-old fears for his future.

Robbie Elliot: 'I'd hoped he might have been in touch to apologise, but I've not heard anything from Shaun Wright-Phillips yet. That red card could have ended my season.

'I had a lot of respect for the lad before but that's gone, it's very disappointing. I'm playing for a new contract, for my future, and what has happened could end all that. I'm now banned for the Charlton match and with Titus Bramble, Jean-Alain Boumsong and Craig Moore coming back, I might not get into the team again.

'I've been told the ref is willing to retract the card, but under the regulations, he can't.'

Don't hold your breath Robbie! Maybe Joe Cole will pass Shaun his phone after you call Joe to apologise for kicking him in the back while he was lying on the ground. You should have already been in the bath when you clipped SWP anyway. But there is nothing Shaun can do about the fact you aren't good enough to hold your place in a very poor side so shut up with the attempted guilt trip.

If your 4th choce behind the Chuckle Brothers of Boomsong and Bramble and the youngster Moore you've not go much of a career anyway! And how is a one macth ban going to end your season?
