Transfer Tattle: Mbia

Transfer Tattle: Mbia

Following on from his Lucas Neill interest, Joe Kinnear was gushing with acclaim for one of the men we are alleged to have bid for. Speaking on the thorny subject of former Everton target Stephane Mbia, he revealed his own thoughts on the player, saying:

'He is 6ft 2in, he has pace and he is powerful. I just thought he would add something else to us. He is a fantastic player. I have seen him on numerous occasions and I would dearly love to have him. We are just waiting to see how they will receive the offer and if the offer is good enough and up to their expectations, or they come back and tell us how much they want.'

Fantastic player and the current Newcastle squad, not likely to happen.

I don't know who Kinnear is kidding on this one guys, cause I believe we had a bid of around £8mil rejected in the summer. Apparently he's been playing well this season so I don't see how his value could have gone down £3mil. Very optimistic to say the least!
