Pre Hull: Xisco steps up

With no chance of selling him during this transfer window due to FIFA red tape, Xisco looks set to make an ulikely return tonight as the injury list reaches breaking point. Joe Kinnear revealed:

'It's crunch time for Xisco, but if he takes his opportunity he'll be OK. He's got to take a leaf out of Andy Carroll and Shola Ameobi's book, who have both come in and done extremely well with me.

They're all injured, but this is an opportunity for him to show what he can do. He's been carrying injuries for a fair length of time now, and my only worry is that he hasn't had 90 minutes in him. I'll be worried about his fitness level, but we need another striker with Michael, and there's a possibility he starts.'
