Transfer Tattle: Kinnear on the round up

With a weekend list of about a dirty dozen names on it, Joe Kinnear has revealed that the volume could be linked to the vast scouting network that NUFC are currently using to sight up our prospective transfer window signings. The boss also found time to add further column inches to the respective futures of Shay Given and Michael Owen. Speaking to the Ronnie, Kinnear revealed:

'There are an awful lot of names out there. But we have a full scout force out there and they are on red alert. They are going to various parts of the world and we are just seeing how we go along. Finances are tight and we have to make the correct decisions with people. Therefore we won`t be rushed into anything.

In my eyes, Shay is still going nowhere. He`s got a major role here, as has Michael Owen. And they both proved they are focused and committed to this club.

I think that, overall on Saturday, we were unlucky not to win the game against West Ham. We created plenty of chances, scored two goals, had one disallowed and hit a post. I was delighted with the effort."
