Transfer Tattle: Pedro Mendes deal still dragging

Despite the player insisting he is happy to stay at Rangers, Pedro Mendes has again been linked to a move to SJP as the Gers look set to shed some of their star names. The Sunday Express insists that the club are set to cash in as we offer north of 4m.

Mendes had yesterday said:

'I want to go on my summer holidays with medals in the luggage. I won the FA Cup at Wembley last May with Portsmouth and it was a fantastic experience. Hopefully, I can do it again with Rangers.

You come to Rangers, you are looking and expecting to win trophies and I am no different from any other player in that respect. It is only good for your career, good for the club and good for all the Rangers fans. There is a long way to go in three competitions, but I am confident.'

"I want to go on my summer holidays with medals in the luggage" Does that not tell you all you want to know? Newcastle don't do trophies or titles, so he would have no chance of winning a medal at your second rate club, would he Ross? Add to that the fact Rangers have stated that Mendes will not be allowed to leave. TBH you really are not very clever at all Ross.

If anyone comes in with a decent bid for Mendes, whether it be, Newcastle United or Dundee United, Rangers are in no position to turn it down. Mendes is for sale just like anyone at Rangers. How many lies are you going to believe from your chairman poke??

Says it all about the standard of the SPL Poke that a relegation fodder like ourselves can rob you of your best players. Lets face it - the SPL is just a total ***** take, the laughing stock of Europe. Nailed by Kaunas and an ex-Hearts flop at that in front of a monster 5,500 crowd and then set to be bridesmaids to the Tims in every other competition. I hope Mendes enjoys his silver medals because he isn't getting any gold ones in those suitcases.

Hate to agree with you danny but it seems that you are right mate and concerning Baldy's comments the Gers and Celtic are remarkable in what they have achieved considering the size of Country and the money we get compared to EPL and Championship sides - Scotland are and always will be a proud - finatical Nation of football lovers and the Old Firm will always be 2 of Europes biggest clubs, I have always stuck by David Murray - BUT this time he cannot be backed up I am afraid as his lies are so blatent now, he has been a great chairman but it seems he now wants to bow out on a very sad note, someone please come and save us before this eejit makes an even bigger mess than he is doing at present. Gers for the Treble LOL and best of luck in the relegation battle Baldy LOL
