Guthrie, and N'Zogbia doubtful for West Ham trip
Danny Guthrie, and Charles N'Zogbia have delivered another blow to Joe Kinnear's plans for a Magpies' resurgence by missing training. The duo have not trained all week, and it remains to be seen whether they will be fit enough to feature at St. James' Park this weekend.
Nicky Butt has been ruled out through suspension, while Joey Barton is still on the treatment table - leaving Kinnear with little to no options in central midfield.
Guthrie has been trying to recover from the flu, while N'Zogbia experienced a dead-leg during training. Both players are instrumental to Joe Kinnear's plans, although N'Zogbia is expected to move on once a suitable offer is made by his suitors.
The dynamic duo are set to undergo fitness checks before the game against West Ham, and in the event that both miss out, youngsters Kazenga Lua Lua, and Andy Carroll could look at starts.
