Transfer Tattle: The Le Havre Lip

So the N`Zogbia out bandwagon rolls on regardless. It looks like your predictions tipping the French Under 21 left sided player to be first out of the door could be correct following his admission that his agents are on the natter with Spurs and Villa.

The Spurs link is one we believe will ultimately come true, with the North London club having been warned off and priced out of a move for Stewart Downing. The cheaper alternative of N`Zogbia looks ideal for 'Appy 'Arry. The Frenchman said:

'My agents are talking with Tottenham and Aston Villa. I'm waiting to see what will happen. From what they have told me, Arsenal could also be in the frame, but there hasn't been a direct approach from them. Personally, I have a little preference for the Gunners but, whatever happens, they are three great and ambitious clubs. It's very flattering to see them interested in me.

I've spoken to my bosses at the club. They know what my aims are and what I want to continue to progress. As soon as a big club knocks on the door with a good offer, I don't think they'll prevent me leaving. While waiting I'm continuing to train, without letting my head go down because I am above all a professional.

I've been here for four years. It's a club who have allowed me to discover the France youth team, and I thank them for that, but at some point you have to know how to aim higher. I am 22. It's an age where I have to be seen, especially with regards to aims that I have targeted for myself. I want to get into the France team as soon as possible and I feel that at Newcastle, that won't be possible. I'm at a turning point in my career.

A return to France is not unforeseeable. But personally I have always said that my priority is to remain in England. It's a league which I take pleasure from and which suits me well. Anyway, a return to France is not relevant because none of those clubs have contacted me.'

Cant say I have ever been very impressed with the bloke, especially when at left back. Is he any good? Am certainly surprised Le Arse are after him, bit less so us, but hope he ends up at the Spuds
villan from luton
as a villa fan i think he can sod off if he wants to join arsenal but will accept us 2nd then he can take a jump.i dont think he is all that anyway

Exactly askpaul68. When i first heard about our suppossed interest i thought it was a 'good shout'. We have two excellent wide players and we need a third as cover/option. Likewise, left back is a problem, with Shorey struggling and Bouma injured. MON will NOT sign players who are not 100% committed to the cause, so he can **** off to the sinking ship that is Arsenal. Perhaps, he should stop and fight for his place at a massive club like Newcastle anyway. Do the Newcastle fans rate him, ot glad to see the back of another whinging foreigner? Actually, with his whinging, he will get on well at Arsenal with Wenger.
