Pre Hammers: Kinnear`s Owen faith

Despite drawing a series of blanks since our 3-0 win v Pompey, Joe Kinnear has backed Michael Owen to come good and get back on the score sheet. Following defeats to Liverpool and Wigan and the Hull draw, Owen will look to score against the Hammers knowing he has already bagged a hat trick against them in Newcastle colours. JFK said:

"Michael did very well for us at Hull in a game that we could have won. He got into some great positions and linked up well with Andy Carroll in our attack. That's all you can ask from your strikers - that they get into those positions. Michael is a world-class striker - some weeks strikers score, and some weeks they don't.'
