Transfer Tattle: Mido-n't think so!
Having seen Alan Smith linked with the Smogs last night, perhaps the most ridiculous link of the window comes with Mido being involved in a switch to SJP as the leveller in the move. Given our fans have hammered him repeatedly with abuse, some of which the authorities have found to be offensive under hatred laws, I can't exactly see him making the move up the A19. Wigan on the other hand have been long term admirers of the player and seem a more likely bet.
The papers state that Smith has found out and is furious but has been told he won't be playing first team football if he refuses the move, basically forcing him into a shotgun marriage with the Beasts.
