Transfer Tattle: Barton & Pompey again

Following the weekend`s reports in The People suggesting Sporting Chance stalwarts Tony Adams and Joey Barton are to be reunited, SkySports have jumped on the story and report that the South coast club have made him their top target as the seek to replace both Papa Bouba Diop and Lassana Diarra.

Barton himself is approaching a comeback from the knee injury suffered against Wigan in November.

Would you be happy to see him go? I'm not sure we'd be happy to see him arrive.

So-so. We don't have any fit midfielders so selling him would confound the problem even further. Ashley wants rid of him, the club is his toy, therefore he gets his way or the dummy gets spat out.

I don't think Gerard and Barton are worthy of comparison on any front
