Transfer Tattle: Villa to pip us to Upson?

Transfer Tattle: Villa to pip us to Upson?

It seems as if the early rumours of a move for Matthew Upson from cash strapped West Ham could be scuppered by the plans of high flying Aston Villa. With the Villains looking a shoo-in for European football next year and an exciting young squad, Upson`s price tag has miraculously shot up to £10m+, seemingly pricing out our current Credit Crunched Club.

That leaves ourselves looking at more cash friendly unproven options such as Madjid Bougherra and Chris Samba.

Cant see Villa being interested in Upson, need strikers more than a centre half

My thoughts exactly. Cuellar, Davis, Laursen - all quality first teamers plus Zat Knight which would leave MO'N with some seriously difficult decisions over who to leave out.

Holte_Ender, He doesn't support Le Arse anymore. It's just he can't decide between Liverpool or Chelsea!
