McGregor move a possibility for Kinnear?

As the goalkeeping tussles in the Premier League start to hot up, the latest name to be linked with Shay Given`s not yet even vacated number 1 jersey is Alan McGregor. Barry Ferguson and Madjid Bougherra make it an Ibrox treble of links in the past few days as silly season has certainly started.

There seems to be a tentative £7m tag surrounding McGregor which, given Craig Gordon`s total inability to match SPL form to Premiership standards, could be a put off to the penny pinching Cockney Mafia. Expect a move for Carlos Kameni of Espanyol to be of greater likelihood.

If you are willing to give us 7.5 mill for McGregor Great ! He is a decent stopper but is not the safest at cross balls and needs dominating CD's in front of him to play to his full potential, but he is a good keeper - but in saying that we will find someone just as good and at the tag on his head is enough for us to go and buy Craig Gordon - who as rumoured is interested in coming to Rangers. As for Bazza and Boogie - No Chance lads, why would they want to go to a struggling EPL side, when they are at a side that is more or less guaranteed European Football every year ? Fergie is finincially secure and happy and Bougherra came North to play European football and will not be shoved out of Ibrox as many have said - we are still building a side and only in our 2nd season of what has been so far so good in most fans eyes with the competition in wages etc. - so I think you should be looking elsewhere - McGregor - maybe ? anyone else that is 1st team regulars - No Chance unlike the Boumsong sale...that was a laughing matter as we never rated him and made near 6 -7 mill in 6 months on a Defender that was nothing special, this time we are not looking to offload any top players we are buying and getting rid of deadwood - McCulloch, Hemdani, Darche, Adam etc......so you can try but why leave one of the biggest sides in the world to play for you ? not being cheeky but Kinnear needs a reality check !
